Poetry by Kyla Houbolt
I have no excuse for this life
My train is here but
my heart is late.
My heart is here, all packed
and ready but the train
is late.
On the train we wonder
will it break down?
Will there be a collision
on the tracks?
These things happen,
it is often said,
to make us
feel better
about disaster.
